Social Memories– One of the best Apps of Facebook
Facebook applications are most of the times stupid and full of clowns dancing around and stupid ads. These applications most of the times land you into some junk advertisement with a little treasure hunt for you to find the right link that takes you to the right app.
But here’s one application that I found really intriguing and brought a smile on my face.
It is not everyday that you get an application which is so neat and clean like this one. Social Memories neatly analyzes your facebook account entirely: your facebook statuses, photo albums, comments, likes, events you checked in, photos you were tagged in, friends you interact with and almost everything you’ve done after 1st June 2009 and elegantly creates a picture book containing beautiful infographics of your facebook life. And they call it Social Memories.
Once everything is calculated, you get to see the book in flash version on the application itself though not in a high resolution. You can get the hard copy of it for a price of $32 including the mailing charges.
If you’ve been active on facebook for the past few months, then this Social Memories application is sure to bring a smile on your face.

Google+ released today! Can it beat Facebook?
The much anticipated Google + has been finally released today. Having received invite, the first thing I felt was, Wow!
Google+ is the latest social networking from Google. It is hard to believe that it is from the ‘makers of orkut‘ which has repeatedly failed (in a perpetual fail mode) in the past few years. It has all the features I wanted. It connects your Internet life. Be it Gmail, Google Reader, Picasa, Blogger or the Google Docs, you have it all at one place.
The interface totally rocks. It supports features like Circles, Hangouts, Sparks and much more. Circles are to arrange your contacts, keep your friends stay away from your bosses. You have complete and easy control over what you share, who can view it and what you want comments on. Sparks ignite a spark in you. It makes available to you, thousands of articles and other web stuff for you to read on. Once you fill your topic of interest, the google will pick up stuff from the web and spark your page content to read and share.
Google hangouts are the next coolest thing. They’re like the groups on facebook. You can start a hangout and invite people to join it. You can have video conferencing with multiple people at a time, if you wish to. This probably makes it the only social network that allows video chat (of course next to orkut, haunted now). Photo uploading and sharing is very simple and very fast.
Google + has notifications, way of sharing things, the home page and most of other things similar to facebook that people have already tagged Google + as ‘facebookish’. But it is still beautifully presented. The way things have been spread around are neat. Nothing has been overdone like they did with the Orkut ( the like thing of facebook imitated in orkut is an example of overdoing things ).

Well google has still give a green signal to the Google apps and other applications like that on facebook. Once they’re out, it is sure to beat facebook. What is your view?
Breakup Notifier – Know when your friends break up
There are so many apps on facebook most of which are dumb. Here’s just another app that is dumb but could be useful to some of you. It is the breakup notifier. What it all does is notifies you when your friends change their relationship status and this is how the Breakup notifier website explains you -

Simple, ain’t it?
Just imagine that you see this gorgeous girl on your first day at college. The very next thing you do is log on to facebook and search for her profile but to your disappointment, you may find her relationship status to be taken. That’s sad.
Breakup notifier is a great tool for stalkers on facebook. You get notified when your favorites are freshly dumped. All you got to do is go to BreakUp Notifier website.
